Who Can Become A Freelance Writer?

That's a good question, and surely we all think about qualifications before entering into any profession. So, what are the qualifications if you need to write? Well, the truth is: ANYONE CAN WRITE!!!

That's absolutely right! Don't think at all that people who are writing over the Internet are all Masters in Language or something. Anyone who has a style of saying things in a manner that is understandable and attractive to other people can write.

There are children who have not yet finished their schools writing for the Internet, as well as grand mamas sitting on their desktops and writing away!

Rest assured, there are no qualifications required to write for the Internet, except perhaps a quest for perfection and making things interesting.

When you write for the Internet, YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BE AN EXPERT IN WHAT YOU ARE WRITING.

Yes, you read that right. You can read it again. There's already so much stuff on the Internet that you can use. This is actually called the research part of the writing job.
On the Internet, it is very simple to find information of any topic under the sun.

Your job as a writer is only to write that information in a way that's more appealing to the readers than it is
originally written. Now, that doesn't require much of a qualification, does it?

But you do need to be perfect in the research that you do. You wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong idea or information, do you? Most writers for the Internet spend more time on the research than on the actual writing, and perfection in what they write is what they are looking for. Some of them even refer to material such as books, newspapers and other such devices to make their writings on the Internet unique and original.

You need to have a perspective on everything you come across. Do you look at something, a new product perhaps, and say, 'This is not the way I like it…

This could have made the product sell better.' If yes, then you are qualified to write. People enjoy reading ideas from other people. It makes the whole thing much more real for them.
The point to be underlined here is that if you have even a high school student's grasp of the language you are qualified to write. For the technicalities, there's always the Internet to do research from.
